How to Change Default Language

This guide briefly explains how you can change the default language of your transcriptions.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Since Bluedot currently supports over 100 languages, you can configure your account to automatically use a default language for all recordings.

Changing the default language

Navigate to My Settings from where you can change the default language:

If the default language is set to Auto, Bluedot will automatically recognise the language spoken, which can be useful in a setting where multiple languages are spoken. Check this transcript:

Changing the language of the transcript after the recording is made

If the language wasnโ€™t set correctly, you can change it after the recording has taken place.

Just click the language drop-down menu in the top-right corner of the transcript to make the change:

The system will then ask you if you want to set the chosen language as default for your future meetings:

By doing this, you will get your transcript automatically generated in the desire language:

Keep in mind that there can only be two languages per transcript, so you can't use the same recording for multiple language transcripts:

Changing the language in the extension-settings
