How to Change Default Language

This guide briefly explains how you can change the default language of your transcriptions.

Since Bluedot currently supports over 100 languages, you can configure your account to automatically use a default language for all recordings.

Changing the default language

Navigate to My Settings from where you can change the default language:

If the default language is set to Auto, Bluedot will automatically recognise the language spoken, which can be useful in a setting where multiple languages are spoken. Check this transcript:

If the language wasn’t set correctly, you can change it after the recording has taken place.

Just click the language drop-down menu in the top-right corner of the transcript to make the change:

The system will then ask you if you want to set the chosen language as default for your future meetings:

By doing this, you will get your transcript automatically generated in the desire language:


Keep in mind that there can only be two languages per transcript, so you can't use the same recording for multiple language transcripts:


Changing the language in the extension-settings

You can also set the meeting language within the extension. Click on the Bluedot extension in your browser, and select the language:
