Where to find speaker insights?

Speaker Insights can be found alongside your meeting recordings, in a tab between the Transcript and AI Chat:

What kind of speaker Iinsights does Bluedot show?

With Bluedot, you can track the Talk Ratio and other Interaction Stats, including the Longest Monologue, Talking Speed and Questions Asked:

By clicking on the Play-button next to each speaker, you can replay all the statements made by a particular speaker.

What do all these insights mean?

  • Talk ratio measures how much a person spoke compared to everyone else in the meeting or conversation. It’s expressed as a percentage of total speaking time.

  • Longest monologue shows the duration of your longest interrupted speaking period.

  • Talking speed is calculated as a number of words spoken per minute. For clear speech, aim to speak <175 words per minute. Fast speaking pace will be marked red in Bluedot Insights:

  • Questions asked shows the number of questions asked per meeting.

✍️The blue dots in the bar assigned to each speaker indicate the recording timeline in which the speaker can be heard - this helps give a neat visual breakdown:

This makes it easy to see not just who spoke, but when and for how long.

Tips for Getting the Best Out of Speaker Insights

  • Balance Talk Time: Aim for a talk ratio around 30–40% for the most active speakers in a group of 4–6 participants. Avoid letting anyone exceed 50% of total speaking time.

  • Mind Your Pace: Keep talking speed between 120–175 words per minute for clarity. Speeds above 180 wpm may be too fast for listeners to follow.

  • Keep Monologues Short: Try to limit uninterrupted speaking to 2–3 minutes at a time. Longer monologues can reduce engagement and retention.

  • Encourage Questions: A healthy meeting usually has 2–5 questions per participant. Fewer may indicate low engagement, more may signal active discussion.

Using these numbers alongside Bluedot’s insights helps teams stay balanced, clear, and interactive in meetings. Thank you for choosing Bluedot. 🔵
