How to record meetings on your Apple Watch

Record and transcribe in-person conversations with one tap on your Apple Watch.

Step 1: Tap to record

Open Bluedot on your Apple Watch and tap the blue orb to start recording. The timer confirms recording is in progress.

You don't need your iPhone nearby to record, the watch works completely on its own, and your recording is stored safely on the watch until it can sync.

Step 2: Control your recording

While recording, you can pause (⏸), discard the recording (✕), or finish it (✓). When the conversation ends, tap the checkmark to save.

Step 3 : Wait for the sync

Your recording transfers to your iPhone automatically in the background, you don't need to do anything. If you recorded away from your phone, the transfer happens the next time your watch and iPhone are connected.

To check the status, swipe left to the second tab in the watch app. Once the transfer is complete, you'll see the confirmation screen: "All recordings synced — open the iPhone app to view your recordings."

Step 4: Open the iPhone app to upload

Once the recording has synced, open the Bluedot iPhone app, even just for a second. This triggers the upload to the cloud, where your recording is processed.

💡 Tip: You'll need the Bluedot iPhone app installed and signed in. Download it from the App Store.

That's it! That's how you use Apple Watch to record. Thank you for choosing Bluedot. 🔵
