Once Bluedot is connected to Slack, you can choose which collections post to Slack. Every time a meeting is added to one of those collections, Bluedot posts its notes to the Slack channel you've chosen, so your team gets the summary without opening Bluedot.
Step 1: Connect Slack to Bluedot
In Bluedot, click your account in the top-left corner and select Integrations.
Choose Slack. Make sure you're logged in to Slack, then grant Bluedot the
permissions it asks for.
Step 2: Choose where a collection posts
You pick the Slack channel per collection, so notes only go where you intend them to.
For a new collection
Click the + next to Collections in the sidebar.
Enter a Collection title.
Turn on Send notes to Slack and choose the channel.
Click Create.
For an existing collection
Open the collection and click the ••• button next to Share.
In Settings, turn on Send notes to Slack and choose the channel.
After a meeting in that collection finishes, its notes appear in the channel automatically, with an overview and a link back to the recording in Bluedot.
Alternative: Connect a collection from Slack
If you'd rather set this up from Slack, you can link a collection to a channel without leaving it.
In the Slack channel, type
/bluedot subscribeand press Enter.Select a collection from the drop-down menu.
Posting to a private channel
Bluedot needs to be a member of a private channel before it can post there.
Open the private channel and add @Bluedot.
Type
/bluedot subscribeand press Enter, then select a collection.
Good to know
Only workspace admins and members with Full access to a collection can sync it with Slack.
Bluedot can be connected to Slack once per account.
Slack messages are limited to 3,000 characters. If a summary is longer than that, it may not sync to Slack.
