Adding Comments to Your Recordings

In this article, you will learn how to add comments to your recordings.

Updated over a month ago

Adding comments to your transcriptions makes them clearer, more actionable, and easier to collaborate on. You can clarify key points, add missing context, assign tasks, and flag follow-ups - all without altering the original text. Comments also help correct errors, track questions, and allow team members to share input. Whether working solo or with a team, they turn raw transcripts into useful, interactive notes.

How to Add Comments to a Recording

  1. Open the transcript.

  2. Highlight the part of the text that you want to comment on.

  3. Click Comment:

Bluedot will automatically add a time-stamp to the comment based on where it appears in the transcript.

From here you have a couple of options:

Write your comment and click Post.

The comment will show up under the Comments tab and will be highlighted in the transcript.

Mention other workspace members by clicking on the @-sign

This helps notify others and keeps the conversation going directly in the comments.

Note: Once a comment is posted, it cannot be edited. You can delete it and write a new one if needed.

Adding Visual Higlights

When you highlight part of the text, you can also add a visual reference to the video.

  1. Click on the paintbrush-icon:

2. A blue rectangle will appear on the video screen.

3. Resize or move the rectangle to point out something specific.

When you click the comment later, the video will automatically show the highlighted area - making it easier to follow along.

How to delete comments from your recording

There are two ways to delete a comment:

  1. Click on the three dots in the Comment-tab:

2. Hover to the comment in the transcript, and then press the Delete-button:

If you have any questions or suggestions about using comments, feel free to reach out. Thank you for choosing Bluedot! πŸ”΅
