Will the other participants know I'm recording?
No, our Bluedot Desktop app offers a way to record discretely, without a visible desktop notification. However, keep in mind that recording without consent is illegal in some states/countries, so please make sure to notify participants about recording.
What platforms can I record?
You can record Google Meet (audio), Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

Can I record Google Meet?
You can record Google Meet in the audio-only mode. If you want to use to record video, as well, you can use our browser extension.
Can I record the Google Meet Desktop App?
If you are using the Google Meet desktop app, you can still record it, but with the recording control from the Bluedot browser-extension.
Does Bluedot for desktop support auto-recording?
No, in the current version of the app, you will not be able to auto-record.
Can I share my screen?
Mac: Bluedot currently supports screen sharing for Zoom, if you're the person sharing the screen. Screen shared from other attendees will not be recorded.
Windows: Bluedot does not currently support screen sharing for meeting attendees. If you share you screen during the meeting, it will be recorded, but if the attendees share their screens, this will not be shown in the Bluedot recording.
What happens if I enter a breakout room while recording?
If you enter a breakout room while recording, your recording will automatically stop, and Bluedot will detect a new meeting that you could then record.
My MS Teams meeting is not being detected - what do I do?
Please make sure to have you MS Teams set to either US or UK English, as the app
currently supports only those two language options.
Is there speaker recognition in the app?
Yes, Bluedot can recognize and label speakers for Zoom, MS Teams and Google Meet.
