Bluedot lets you edit a recording's transcript directly — and because the video is linked to the transcript, cutting text also cuts the matching part of the video. It's a simple way to clean up a recording without using separate video editing software.
You might want to fix a misheard word, cut filler and repeated phrases, clarify who said what, tidy the wording before sharing, or redact something sensitive — here's how.
Editing the transcript
Open the recording and click the three dots to open the editing tool.
Double-click any word to edit it directly.
To remove a word, filler, or phrase, click it and hit the Cut icon — or just select it and press Delete on your keyboard.
Use the search box to quickly find the word or phrase you want to change.
Click Save when you're done — your transcript is now edited.
Because the transcript and video are linked, cutting text automatically cuts that section out of the video too — so trimming the transcript is really trimming the video, no separate editor needed.
You can even select and cut a whole sentence at once.
Once you click Save, you'll get a shorter version of the recording with smooth, natural transitions where the cuts were made. When you download it, it's ready to go as an MP4.
