Why use custom vocabulary?
Bluedot has introduced a custom vocabulary feature that allows you to add specific words or phrases to improve transcription accuracy. This helps train the AI to better recognize and remember the terms you use most often.
This is especially useful in meeting contexts where industry-specific, technical, or frequently used internal terms come up.
Custom vocabulary is particularly valuable in meetings where unique terms, acronyms, or names are frequently mentioned. For example:
Sales or Client Calls: Brand names, product SKUs, or client-specific terminology.
Technical Meetings: Industry jargon, coding terms, or software-specific language.
Team Standups: Internal project names, team member names, or abbreviations.
Healthcare/Legal/Finance: Sector-specific terminology that general transcription models may struggle with.
By adding these custom words, you help the AI recognize and transcribe them accurately, reducing errors and saving time on post-meeting edits.

How to use custom vocabulary?
To ensure certain words are recognized correctly in your transcripts, simply type them into the custom vocabulary field, and click on +Add a new keyword.
For example, we have set up "Bluedot" as a custom word, as it is sometimes misinterpreted as "Bluetooth" during transcription.
Please keep in mind that his feature currently only supports the English language.
